This case study shares some early experience and lessons from one of the pilot RE DD+ projects in Tanzania 'Making REDD+ work for communities and forest conservation in Tanzania'. The project is being implemented by the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) and the Community Forest Conservation Network of Tanzania (MJUMITA) with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam as part of its bilateral arrangement with the government of Tanzania on climate change.
