This book investigates the potential for information and communications technologies (ICTs) to help communities adapt to climate change in the water sector. Using some examples of ICT applications used for water security as part of disaster risk reduction programmes. The overall report includes theoretical considerations for project decision-making, regional explorations of the application of ICTs in contexts of water stress in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia, as well as emerging research questions in the field. Several case studies are included to highlight the application of technology in communities and water projects.
