The Africa Clean Energy Corridor (ACEC) is intended to facilitate the development of the continent’s abundant renewable energy potential, to fulfil projected electricity demand at the lowest environmental, social and economic cost. This report focuses on the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) and is intended to assess the power pool’s readiness to embrace the objectives of the. It also proposes actions for the formation of the corridor, including raising the profile of projects that are ready for investment and identifying stakeholders able to assist in building capacity for the financing and development of such projects.
