This information on accelerating the U.S. deployment of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) was presented at the Climate Policy and West Coast Transportation Conference at Stanford University in September 2010. It presents the U.S. transportation sector's progress with reducing greenhouse gas emissions and then compares overall progress to California's estimated progress over the course of 10 years. The presentation also presents barriers to U.S. implementation of PEVs and suggests what must be done to overcome them in the future.
