This report summarizes the investments in clean energy of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2011, condensing information from project databases and formal reports in an easy-to-reference format. This report was prepared by ADB"s Clean Energy Program which provides the cohesive agenda that encompasses and guides ADB"s lending and non-lending assistance, initiatives, and plan of action for sustainable growth in Asia and the Pacific. In 2011, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) achieved clean energy investments of $2.1 billion, meeting its investment target of $2 billion annually by 2013, two years ahead of When ADB committed to this target in 2009 it also formalized its policy to support clean energy in as many sectors and ways as possible.
