Polyaniline Nanofiber Composite Materials: New Chemical Sensors for Phosgene

Professor Kaner and colleagues have developed a sensor with polyaniline polymers for the detection of phosgene (COCl2) a colorless highly toxic gas that has been used in chemical warfare as well as in industrial processes for polyurethanes. Applications: Environmental sensors


The approach provides a sensitive (ppb) method for detecting this highly poisonous gas.
