Modified Electrostatic Precipitator for Flue Gas

CTCN Keyword Matches

The University of Cincinnati Department of Chemical Engineering in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Engineering has developed a novel improvement for flue gas electrostatic precipitators. The resulting modification removes particulate material while recovering heat and maintaining conditions to prevent corrosion in the system. Up to 98% removal of acidic gas components is anticipated. Applications: Flue gas electrostatic precipitators

Benefits

1) Low gas phase pressure drop 2) Low liquid pumping cost 3) Notable heat recovery 4) Immense decrease in water usage
