With the right technology and with smart materials has Hedbergs Tak managed to construct one of Swedens most energy efficient industrial buildings. They manged to reduce the energy consumption with 50% in comparison to a traditional industry building. The building is only used as an office and warehouse, there is no manufacturing in the building.

The local company HP-bygg has constructed the industrial building. The construction leader was Avesta Engineering bureau. Special windows with U-values of 09 was installed from ”Plasfönster i Avesta”. Östbergs Fan where responsible for the installation of a ventilation system that reuses 84% of the air. Midroc AB did all the installations of electricity. The real estate has two air heat pumps and two separated ventilation aggregate.

The industrial building has one floor and is 560 m2. The year of construction is 2009. Energy calculations give 6000 kWh/year in heating and 12 000 kWh/year for hot water and other electricity, the energy consumption is half of what is used in an traditional industrial building of the same size.
