Finance needed to transform coffee pulping factory into a climate smart farm.

This project involves 5 coffee pulping factories (all in Karatina) with 477866 coffee bushes. The annual actual cherry production in 2013 was 910902 kg averaging 1.9 kg per coffee bush. The proposed initiative is to produce the coffee under certified organic production standards while accounting for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction within the participating parcels of land as a programme of activities (PoA) on climate â€" smart agriculture (CSA) and sustainable agriculture land management (SALM). The organic standards validator shall be SGS Kenya Ltd and can alternate as a DOE.
