Envision Solar’s patented EV ARC  is the world’s only transportable, solar powered EV charging station. Delivered to your location complete and ready to charge cars, it does not require any permits, civil engineering or planning, foundations, trenching or electrical connections. Each EV ARC will deliver up to 225 e miles daily, while charging up to six EVs at a time. Equipped with on-board battery storage, it will charge EVs day or night and during a black out or other grid failure, you can use the energy produced by the EV ARC to keep your business up and running. If you want to change your charging location, the EV ARC is transportable and can be easily moved to a new location within minutes.

EV ARC uses use Envision Track, a proprietary solar tracking system developed by the company, to maximize power generation during the day. But what sets the EV ARC units apart from other solar charging systems is that they are self-contained and portable. There are no trenches to dig or grid connections to install except for Envisions delivery driver, no other personnel require access to the location to facilitate the installation.  They can be located anywhere there is a level surface. Set up takes only a few minutes and the systems can be moved to a different location if the need arises. That also means the EV ARC units can provide emergency power in the event of a grid failure. Not only will electric vehicles owned by the city be able to continue operations to serve the needs of city residents, police and first responders can plug in to use the charging stations as emergency generators during outages. This reduces background checks and other administrative processes needed for secure facilities. Choosing EV ARC also reduces risk and the associated costs, when compared to typical grid-tied EV chargers, which are the result of construction/electrical projects at secure facilities.
Five solar-powered EV charging stations manufactured by Envision Solar have been installed in Pittsburgh. They will be used primarily to help keep the city’s fleet of electric vehicles charged up and ready to support the needs of the city government.
