Common Input Voltage Control and Output Power Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for Sub-Panel Converters with Series Outputs

This invention proposes a simplified control strategy for sub-panel converter with series outputs. With the proposed control only one set power sensor is needed for the sub-panel converters in an independent panel and the cost of the maxinum power point tracking (MPPT) controllers and sensors can be reduced. While the maximum power of the panel is almost same to the discrete MPPT control strategy who has an independent MPPT controller and sensors for each sub-panel converter in an independent panel.
