
The Climate-Smart Insurance, in its experimental phase, has been developed by the CGIAR and is currently implemented in India, in collaboration with Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA) and HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company Limited. It aims at enhancing the farmers' adaptive capacity to weather-related risks. It is an agricultural insurance which encourages farmers to use Conservation Agriculture (CA) technologies/practices.
