This is technology concerning a bio-based plastic with high flame retardancy. Generally bio-based plastic is combustible owing to the chemical structure. To ensure the flame retardancy the volume and type of additives need to be optimized and physical properties as a plastic are requested. This incompatibility created many polymer alloy materials of polylactic-acid and “petroleum-based resin” (polymer mixture of two or more types of resins). However the bio-content of most alloy materials are lower than 50%. This technology enables the high bio-content material with high flame retardancy and physical properties as a plastic. The exhaustible material will be reduced by using this plastic. From the viewpoint of carbon neutral amount of CO2 emission of bio-based plastic is lower than that of petroleum-based resins.
