New request for technical assistance: Technology Needs Assessment for Kyrgyzstan

Publication date:

The Government of Kyrgyzstan has contacted the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) to assist in conducting the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for climate change mitigation and adaptation in the most vulnerable economic sector (agriculture, energy, water, disaster risk management/emergencies and municipal infrastructure).

The Kyrgyz Republic is a land locked and lower-middle-income country of 6,3 million population endowed with natural resources including minerals, glaciers, arable land, forestry and pastures. The country is the third most vulnerable to climate change impacts in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, due to its dependency on and sensitivity of agricultural systems.
