Networking & Collaboration

Technologies are vital to building climate-resilient, low-carbon societies. Many essential technologies already exist — the challenge is to get them deployed where they are needed, and to build the enabling environments to support technology innovation, adaptation and scale-up. An overwhelming number of developing countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement indicate a requirement for technology support and capacity building in order to achieve their commitments. To meet this need, the CTCN serves as a demand-driven and trusted partner, matching developing countriy needs for climate change-related equipment, methods, capacity development and policy advice with the world-class expertise of its Network and our collaborators.

DI Lab Inc.

DI Lab combines its expertise in the climate and environmental sector with advanced AI technology and data analytics to deliver intelligent platform services that address the challenges of climate change. Its flagship solution, DI CAST, utilizes AI-powered anomaly detection and forecasting to help stakeholders proactively manage risks associated with extreme weather events.

The company also offers specialized services such as Modoo Solar, which predicts solar power generation and detects equipment malfunctions, and Modoo Air, which optimally manages indoor air quality in industrial facilities and factories. Furthermore, DI Lab is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies like short-term rainfall forecasting and flood risk detection, designed to mitigate damages from extreme rainfall events, including the 2022 flooding in Seoul’s Gangnam district.

In response to the global climate crisis, DI Lab is committed to providing data-driven solutions to climate-vulnerable regions worldwide. By leveraging weather, climate, and satellite data for risk analysis and hazard forecasting, the company supports global efforts to enhance climate resilience.

DI Lab’s innovative approach is guided by its mission of “solving problems through data to build a healthier society.” Recently, the company launched the "Solar Power Generation Climate Risk Management Service," the first of its kind to apply climate risk management to the solar power sector. This pioneering effort earned DI Lab the prestigious Climate Energy Innovation Award (Korea Energy Agency President’s Award) at the 2024 Climate Industry International Expo, further solidifying its position as a leader in climate and environmental solutions.
