Stellenbosch University, Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies
The Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies(CRSES) at Stellenbosch University(SU), was established in 2007 as the national hub for postgraduate programmes in renewable and sustainable energy, and has a dual purpose: the training of scientists and engineers with the required technical expertise to unlock the country's renewable resources, and the implementation of appropriate technologies for the sustainable use of renewable energy.
