Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme

SPREP - Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme - is the lead intergovernmental agency coordinating and delivering environment and climate change strategies and initiatives in the Pacific. For over 25 years SPREP has been working with and supporting its 21 Pacific Island Country (PIC) and Territory (PICT) Members to address their environmental and climate change priorities to support sustainable development and Pacific island livelihoods. SPREP serves to provide access to resources for some of the most vulnerable SIDS in the world, to support resilient and low-emission development. SPREP has a proven track record, as well as on-the-ground technical and management expertise.  Its organisational capacity and unique reach and connection with the Pacific region enables it to deliver highly effective, integrated, country driven and sustainable mitigation and adaptation actions.
