    Objective

Energy and transportation sectors in Sao Tome and Principe (STP) emit the most greenhouse gases (GHG). However, the forest absorbs the totality emissions of CO2. As a result, the forest plays a key role in our economy, by supplying firewood for making foods and wood for other needs, as well as in balancing our environment. The negative impacts of climate change will hurt the energy and agriculture sectors. STP"s National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPA) identified vulnerable populations and sectors, and strategies for climate adaptation and implementation.
