During the trading section the presenter examines Green Initiative for MIPYMES by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration in order to contribute to the promotion of environmental investments in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The Initiative has resources for project funding that be used for: Energy Audits Energy Efficiency projects; Technical Feasibility Study, Final Design and Environmental Impact Studies for Renewable Energy Projects.

The Global Atlas is the comprehensive information platform on the potential of renewable energy. It provides resource maps from leading technical institutes worldwide and tools for evaluating the technical potential of renewable energies. It can function as a catalyst for policy development and energy planning, and can support investors in entering renewable energy markets.

This report analyses different topics related to the energy sector of the LA&C region, such as: : the global economic - energetic outlook; the supply and demand of energy in the region; institutional regional aspects; the electricity and hydrocarbon sector; renewable energies and environment; energy efficiency, energy access; innovation and technological development; and regional integration.

The major objectives of the ENVIS Centre are collection and dissemination of information in order to support and promote research, development and innovation among researcher, policy makers, academics and other stakeholders. The Centre is actively engaged in data gaps identification and bridging, resource generation and data collection, capacity-building and information dissemination activities.
