Passive house design

  • Objective

Technologies and measures which are aimed at reducing the use of energy in buildings could have several advantages, such as lower energy bills, increasing comfort of living or working, and reduced impact on the environment, including reduction of CO2 emissions. The options considered for energy savings particularly leading to CO2 emission reductions include the following:

  • Objective

The new regional headquarters of Region Skåne is one of the most energy efficient buildings in Sweden. This represents one further step in the direction of energy efficiency – planning and constructing the energy efficient buildings of the future. Now the process to build a new center for forensic medicine in the city of Trelleborg has been started.

  • Objective

In the northern parts of Bromma, two so called ”passive-houses” are being built. Passive houses are particulary isolated, with an efficient heat recycling system and energy-efficient windows. They need 50% less energy compared to conventional multi-dwelling buildings.
