    The papers in this volume provide sectoral perspectives on adaptation to climate change in New Zealand. They are based on presentations made at the "Climate Change Adaptation: Managing the Unavoidable" conference held in Wellington in May 2009. The authors put substantial further work into the papers following their presentations to pick up on points made at the conference by discussion panel members. The papers then went through two rounds of peer review and were subsequently edited.

    This publication reflects the outcome of an initiative to identify instances of exemplary forest management in the region and examine the core components of high quality forest management in an effort to illustrate good forest management to a wide audience and encourage others to take up some of the most promising ideas, methods and approaches. More than 170 nominations were received from 21 countries in the region. Twenty-eight case studies were selected.

    The CTCN Regional Forum for NDEs from Developed Countries took place in Bonn, Germany. The purpose of the forum was to offer a platform for the NDEs and Climate Change focal points from Annex 1 countries to discuss issues and opportunities related to climate technology transfer to developing countries as a follow up to the COP21 decisions.

    The 193 individual country profiles capture the status and progress of all UN Member States, and the 80+ indicators include a wealth of information on child, adolescent and adult anthropometry and nutritional status, in addition to intervention coverage, food supply, economics, and demography. This tool is particularly useful for nutrition champions at the country-level, as it presents a wide range of evidence needed to assess country progress in improving nutrition and nutrition-related outcomes.

New Zealand’s INDC will remain provisional pending confirmation of the approaches to be taken in accounting for the land sector, and confirmation of access to carbon markets.
