CTCN organized its Regional Forum for Nationally Designated Entities of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) on August 20, 2018, in Montevideo, Uruguay, as part of the LAC Climate Week (August 20-23, 2018). Thirty-six participants from 21 countries attended the Forum. CTCN invited NDEs from LAC countries and selected network members. It also supported NDEs to participate in the LAC Climate Week for the full week.
Based on analysis of Jamaica's investment environment, this roadmap suggests regulatory and institutional changes that will be necessary to attract new investments in clean energy solutions. It is intended to provide decision makers and key energy-sector stakeholders in Jamaica with the technical, socioeconomic, financial, and policy analysis needed to guide the country’s transition to a sustainable electricity system.
This publication is designed to increase the base of knowledge about the characteristics and functions of the energy sector in Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries. This work on the energy matrix and sector governance of each country in the Caribbean was carried out in parallel to similar work for the rest of the Latin American and Caribbean region. However, the methodology for this region varies slightly from country to country as there is no single set of comparable data for all the nations in this group.
The publication outlines the minimum fiduciary standards and direct access requirements of the AF and GEF and describes the details of their application processes. It shows potential accredited institutions (Project Agencies; National, Regional and Multilateral Implementing Agencies) the minimum requirements that must be fulfilled, and provides examples of demonstrating compliance with these requirements in order to become accredited for direct access.
