El Ministro de las Secretaria de Energía, Recursos Naturales, Ambiente y Minas (MiAmbiente), José Antonio Galdames, en conferencia de prensa se mostró muy agradecido con la participación y asistencia de los Países y Agencias Latinoamericanas al primer taller Regional sobre el Fondo Verde del Clima (FVC), ya que Honduras sirve como ejemplo de experiencia en materia de medidas de adaptación y mitigación al Cambio Climático.

CTCN organized its Regional Forum for Nationally Designated Entities of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) on August 20, 2018, in Montevideo, Uruguay, as part of the LAC Climate Week (August 20-23, 2018). Thirty-six participants from 21 countries attended the Forum. CTCN invited NDEs from LAC countries and selected network members. It also supported NDEs to participate in the LAC Climate Week for the full week.

Less developed countries are generally more affected by the impacts of weather-related events than industrialised countries, according to the 2011 Climate Risk Index (CRI). The Global Climate Risk Index 2011 analyses the extent to which countries have been affected by storms, floods, heat waves and other weather induced occurrences using data collected during the 1990-2009 period. The index uses the number of deaths, sum of losses in US$ in purchasing power parity and of GDP.The index presents the following key findings for the period 1990 to 2009:

This paper reviews the environmental and commercial benefits and analyzes the logistics of fuel supply in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. A coordinated decision would reduce the economic impact on the adoption of new standards referenced. It constitutes a technical document that has helped the authorities of the countries in the adoption of the strategy to use low sulfur diesel fuel in transportation and industry.
