    Sandviksverket in Växjo is a combined power and heating plant, producing heat to the city’s district heating system and power to the electricity market

    The plant is 98 percent fuelled with bark, shavings, wood chips and a small amount peat. Consequently its energy production has very little environmental impact. In fact emissions of carbon dioxide are reduced by 249,000 metric tons annually by leaving out the fossil fuels.

Based on over ten years of research, BioEndev has developed an innovative torrefaction technology for production of black pellets. With over 10 patents we have a unique technology with high process control and availability. Black pellets resembles fossile coal in many ways but is renewable and carbon neutral. Black pellets are hydrophobic and has up to 50% higher energy density compared to white pellets.

    The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), together with the Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN), organized a workshop in order to develop and strengthen the regional network of National Designated Entities (NDEs) and their relationship with small and medium enterprises and clean energy technology stakeholders.

    The two day workshop aimed to identify matchmaking opportunities and follow-up actions through the CTCN for clean technology investments in South East Asia.
