The 2022-2023 CTCN Progress Report showcases how developing countries have harnessed the power of technology to forge their own path toward a sustainable future. In the race against climate change, the Paris Agreement has set an ambitious target to limit the temperature increase to a mere 1.5°C. The decarbonization of the energy sector is a critical battleground against greenhouse gas emissions. Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) is used in electricity grids and has a global warming potential 25,300 higher than CO2. SF6 emissions are strongly rising with the extension of grids and the electrification of industries.
