In order for developing country Parties (non-Annex I) to improve their reports covering mitigation activities, the Consultative Group of Experts (CGE), with the assistance of the Climate change secretariat is organizing a webinar on:
Mitigation assessment 25 Oct, 2016, 12:00 (CET +1 hour or time in Bonn, Germany) . Duration is 60 minutes.
The webinar, based on CGE training material will be delivered in French language. It provides an overview of the key steps to conduct a mitigation assessment and translate it into a detailed national climate action plan. It aims at enabling participants to obtain a broad but sound understanding of the process: Identification of stakeholders, definition of the scope of the assessment, mitigation assessment timeframes, selection of assessment methodologies (marginal abatement cost curves/economic analysis, modelling), baseline scenarios, and screening of potential mitigation options are among the topics that will be discussed.
