Join our CTCN Consortium Partner, the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) for this webinar on forestry technologies for adaptation to and mitigation of climate change.

The webinar aims to answer the following main questions:

  • What is the role of forests in the developing world?
  • Why to adapt to and mitigate climate change through forests?
  • What is adaptation in forestry?

Technologies/Approaches to reduce deforestation and degradation are presented as well as challenges and opportunities to use forestry as a tool to adapt to and mitigate climate change. Finally, the presenter provides insights into existing policy instruments at national and International levels that contribute to improved management of forest resources in the context of climate change. The webinar has a duration of one hour, that was followed by 30 minutes of "questions and answers" between participants and the presenter.
