
CTCN organised a 5-days training workshop on Green Climate Fund (GCF) project proposal development for 7 participants from 5 Direct Access Entities from Nepal, 3-7 September 2018 in in Bangkok, Thailand. The training was organised with the collaboration of the Ministry of Finance, Nepal’s National Designated Authority to the Green Climate Fund and implemented by the Asian Institute of Technology.
The overall objective of the workshop was to build capacities of the participants in developing bankable project proposals to access climate finance from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
During the workshop, the participants were presented on the linkages of the National Designated Contributions, Paris Agreement and the Green Climate Fund, the roles of Green Climate Fund entities, National Designated Authority and Accredited Organizations and how they work together as well as the Green Climate Fund’s budget lines for project preparation and for project proposals. Four basic outlines for GCF projects were drafted by the Direct Access Entities during the training with the support of the experts from the Asian Institute of Technology.
