The Regional Forum is organized in parallel with the Sixth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development.
The CTCN Forum will be an occasion to develop and strengthen the regional network of NDEs and their relationship with other technology stakeholders, with a view to identify matchmaking opportunities to secure funding for follow-up actions to CTCN requests or other climate technology activities.
Participants will discuss how to link CTCN technical assistance with financial mechanisms and institutions that are relevant to Climate Technologies; as well as share experiences on set up and activities of NDEs at national level, use of CTCN Technical Assistance, and linkages between the CTCN and the Technology Need Assessments undertaken by several countries. In addition, newly established NDEs will receive an accelerated training on the CTCN and its services; NDE roles and responsibilities, as well as the processes to submit requests for technical assistance to the CTCN.
