In line with the national ambition of universal access to electricity by 2025 (SE4All), the investment program aims to deploy 100% solar mini-grids in a thousand isolated villages across Senegal. By channeling concessional funding from ERIL – Local Initiative Rural Electrification – and by facilitating the connection of beneficiaries and productive uses, the program will accelerate and sustain the electrification of communities remained outside the scope of PPER concessionaires – Priority Rural Electrification Plans.

ECOWAS organizes a side event at with their partner BOAD and GCF to discuss "Partnership between Green Climate Fund and African financial institutions" at the ECOWAS Pavillon.
