The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), the World Forestry Centre (ICRAF) and UNEP DTU Partnership (UDP) invites to a side event to share experience and discuss how developing countries can take advantage of technology transfer support available from the CTCN.

African countries have an urgent need for adaptation and mitigation knowledge and technologies to help address natural resource management challenges. While knowledge and technologies that can make a profound impact are available, transferring these from those that have them to those that need them is a huge barrier to positive change. The UNFCCC’s Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) provides a unique opportunity for African countries to address their technology transfer barriers. This is achieved by facilitating easy access to leading knowledge and technologies available from regional and global organizations. During this side event, countries will have the opportunity to hear more about the CTCN and exactly what it can offer, including how countries can benefit. Participants will also be given an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas regarding CTCN and how it could be further improved.
