Gwangju Climate and Energy Agency

GCEA is founded with the mandate to study policy responses to climate change, cultivate eco-friendly lifestyles for citizens to create a low-carbon, green city. GCEA is also a Secretariat of UEA with 156 member cities in 52 Countries.

UEA Secretariat promotes cooperative relationships between cities through the sharing of best practices and technological know-how.

The main activities of GCEA/UEA are as below;

1) Conduct R&D and education/training on climate change and other environmental issues

2) Develop and implement programs that promote low-carbon, green lifestyles

3) Facilitate exchange and cooperation on climate change and other environmental issues between cities around the world

4) Organize UEA Summits and Operating knowledge sharing program
