Get2C, Lda

Get2C (www.get2c.pt) is a Portuguese company founded in 2011 and supported by a team with more than 20 years of experience in sustainability, climate change and energy. At the international level, the work developed in Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Morocco, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Poland and Vietnam is highlighted. The company is organized into four main areas, which reflect the nature of its projects:
1. Climate Strategies – Get2C has national and international experience in supporting governments, agencies, public and private entities and companies from various sectors in the evaluation and definition of strategies, plans and programs for mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
2. Climate Instruments – Get2C has more than 15 years of experience in the industrial sector, particularly for the work developed in the framework of the implementation of the European Emissions Trading System (ETS) and for the evaluation, development and support for the implementation of new emissions trading systems and/or carbon taxes. In addition, we highlight the experience in the development and implementation of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems and preparation of GHG emissions inventories at national, sectoral and corporate levels.
3. Climate Action – Get2C has experience in the development and implementation of several climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
4. Climate Finance – Get2C has experience in identifying and mobilizing financing for the execution of strategies, climate instruments, development and implementation of mitigation and adaptation projects.
It is also noteworthy the experience of the Get2C team resulting from the participation in the negotiations of the international climate change policy, namely in the context of several Conventions of the Parties, within the scope of the UNFCCC, since the Kyoto Protocol. Get2C's client portfolio ranges from financial institutions to asset management companies, industry, national authorities and international and multilateral organizations. Among others, we highlight the services provided to the World Bank, the European Commission, the Asian Development Bank, GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the context of international climate change policy.

Get2C has currently 24 staff and 18 permanent staff, of which, 12 permanent staff, working in fields relevant for the present consulting services.
