Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe

The Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) is an independent intergovernmental organisation established in 1992 in response to the Damascus Convention, which was adopted by the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment (CAMRE) in 1991 and was followed by a Host Government Agreement (HGA) between Egypt, UNDP, and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).
