This U.S. Government Accountability Office study shows wind power's impact on wildlife and reviews the government's responsibility to regulate wind power development. Specifically, studies show that wind power facilities in northern California and in Pennsylvania and West Virginia have killed large numbers of raptors and bats, respectively.
