Technology Roadmap: Energy Efficient Building Envelopes

The building envelope—the boundary between the conditioned interior of the building and the outdoors—can be improved to reduce the energy needed to heat and cool buildings, according to this roadmap, presents nine key actions that can be taken to transform how buildings are constructed. And, it describes actions for pursuing the energy efficient refurbishment of existing building stock.
