This case study provides lessons learned from a project to help small and medium enterprise unit owners and organizations in the steel industry in the Mandi Govindgarh cluster in India to increase energy efficiency. The case study focuses on the process undertaken and results achieved at the Thakur Steel site. Through improvements including process modification, equipment modification, and technology changes, the program was able to enact significant savings.
