This report describes the U.S. Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) as a way to establish minimum volumes of various types of renewable fuels that must be included in the U.S. supply of fuel for transportation. The report evaluates how much the supply of various types of renewable fuels would have to increase over the next several years to comply with the standard.
