The roadmap developed by Proklima incorporates 15 years of experiences by Proklima and other implementing agencies that have been active in the field, mainly under the Montreal Protocol but also under the UNFCCC (e.g., CDM). Mitigation strategies for both direct and indirect emissions of the refrigeration, air conditioning and foam blowing sectors have been utilised to develop low carbon strategies up to 2050. The establishment of an enabling environment is presented as an integral part of the technology roadmap.
