This report assesses the historical and current impact of policies such as the Public Utilities Regulatory Policies Act at encouraging the development of geothermal electricity in the United States. In addition, the report recommends several policy measures and existing policy gaps that must be addressed in order to further stimulate and optimize the growth of geothermal electricity.
