Policies to Assist Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Grasping Green Opportunity

This paper summarizes Chinese Taipei's strategy to promote green trade by providing advisory services and capacity building. Chinese Taipei’s major policy initiative for assisting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in energy saving and carbon reduction from 2011 to 2013 is to deploy five major technical service teams. These teams—in the business, manufacturing, and energy sectors—will provide both technical services and energy saving management services. It is currently developing “Guidance for SMEs’ Energy Saving and Carbon Emission Reduction.”
