The authors of this paper argue that the breakdown in conventional policy labels represents an important shift in renewable electricity policy, one that policymakers, analysts, government officials and investors around the world need to better understand. By combining different policy design elements in innovative ways, policymakers are beginning to create a new policy kit, one that is arguably better adapted to the new market realities, according to the authors.
