This white paper addresses existing point sources of carbon dioxide (CO2) and current capture technology in China. It then analyzes the CO2 geologic storage capacity in China as well as opportunities for the development and deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies in the country. The paper also addresses the development of a CCS regulatory framework and includes related recommendations.
