Hybrid Mini-Grids For Rural Electrification: Lessons Learned

This report identifies the best practices for mini-grid implementation by looking at things like power purchase agreements; operation and maintenance costs; and regulatory framework and business, economic and social factors. This document primarily looks at mini-grids in Sub-Saharan Africa and is compiled by analysing different scenarios and using rules of thumb to give the reader a general idea what a mini-grid is and how different financial and regulatory schemes can benefit them.
