This report presents lessons for implementing local renewables policies in cities large and small, local government activities to drive renewable energy, as well as how national governments can create enabling frameworks for cities. Local governments are ideal drivers of change. More and more cities and local governments are addressing renewable energy in some way, and are also becoming more ambitious in their targets and in policies. The report includes policy data for 210 cities, including financing incentives. More detailed case summaries of local policies in 40 cities worldwide are provided.
