The Finnish Wind Atlas is a tool estimating the regional and local wind energy potential in Finland. It contains average monthly and annual values of wind speed, as well as potential power production calculated for 1-megawatt (MW), 3-MW, and 5-MW wind turbines at heights from 50 meters to 400 meters above sea or ground level distributed in 30-degree wind direction sectors. The detailed results are presented on interactive maps that also allow data for selected areas to be downloaded.
