This Roadmap has been designed to assist in the implementation of successful Energy Efficiency Building Codes (EEBC) in order to overcome some barriers in energy efficiency in MENA countries. To structure the policy design and implementation processa five-step policy design cycle is introduced. This approach contains the key elements to move forward on specific regional challenges and highlights relevant best-practice examples. To customize the EEBC Roadmap to the specific needs of a country, a set of cards is included at the back of this brochure. These cards present the cycle steps, related activities and relevant institutions and can be used to create an inclusive implementation plan.
