Development of Strategies and Sustainability Standards for the Certification of Biomass for International Trade

The study is based on the fact that the production rise of renewable raw materials and the resulting increase in international trade. To ensure a sustainable biomass production and trade, international strategies for standards and certification systems are investigated and should be further developed. The project is based on current research and is aimed at working out concrete proposals for standards and certification systems and their implementation at the national, European and global level in a dialog with relevant stakeholders as an input to international processes
