This report presents information gathered from the world's energy markets on regulatory practices aimed at fostering energy efficiency. In preparing the report, the authors found that energy efficiency is under-researched in comparison with its importance as an area of policy interest in tackling climate change. The report represents a first step in addressing this information deficit, developing energy efficiency policy, and identifying and spreading best practices, according to the authors.
