Demand Response and Smart Metering Policy Actions Since the Energy Policy Act of 2005: A Summary for State Officials

This report reviews policy developments on demand response and other related initiatives, such as smart meters and smart grid, in the United States from 2005 to mid-year 2008. It was prepared by the Demand Response Coordinating Committee (DRCC) for the U.S. National Council on Electricity Policy (NCEP). It attempts to catalogue information on policy developments at both the federal and state level, in both the legislative and regulatory arenas.
